Eve waited for Warmth at the school gate. She hurried out and saw his car parked on the opposite side. Warmth glanced around to see her classmates but didn't care anymore; she got into Eve's car. Eve owned four cars, and today he was driving a BMW, which he seldom used. With the windows tinted, no one could recognize him. Besides, Warmth came from a well-off family, and her father often drove a BMW to pick her up before, so her classmates weren't surprised.

"Why are you so late" asked Eve as he started the car and left. He had been waiting outside for half an hour and thought she might have been bullied inside. Warmth wasn’t well-liked at school, which Eve knew about; any prolonged stay made him think his wife was being bullied. But seeing her smiling face suggested that she was in a good mood, so he dismissed the thought.

He shouldn't worry about Warmth getting bullied; she wouldn't take it lying down and would retaliate fiercely if someone tried to bully her.

"I chatted with my teacher for a while and told her we're married," said Warmth, smiling. Eve glanced at her sideways, "You mean this is a secret marriage Many people already know about us getting married."

"So what if they do The teacher wouldn't spread it around隨便," replied Warmth with a smile, turning to look at Eve. "I heard from the teacher that I might win two Golden Chapter Awards. Besides the Newcomer Award, which one is it"

"You should know gossips aren’t reliable," said Eve calmly, his lips curling slightly in amusement. His angular face looked soft and amiable, making him seem like a prince every time she saw him.

"If the teacher says something, I trust it to be true," Warmth laughed. "Tell me if this is real."

"It's not true; you'll find out when the time comes."

"You're stingy." Muttered Warmth but didn't ask further. Eve took her to a dress shop on Renmin Road to pick clothes. This area wasn't familiar to Warmth, and there were rows of stores specializing in cocktail dresses.

There were international brands as well as lesser-known ones.

The clothes on this street are not affordable for ordinary people; they cater mainly to aristocratic women and celebrities who come here to pick out their evening gowns. Each shop has its unique characteristics, with either luxurious or exquisite interiors.

Ye Feimo led Wen Ran into a cheongsam store.

Slightly taken aback, Wen Ran wondered if Ye Feimo was going to pick out a cheongsam for her

To wear a cheongsam at the Golden Chapter Awards

The shop had makeup artists, stylists, and two designers. Ye Feimo rented the entire store. Inside, no one else was around except them; Wen Ran recognized it as an old-established cheongsam boutique in City A.

"Do you want to wear a cheongsam" Wen Ran asked. Ye Feimo nodded. The stylist was an elegant middle-aged woman named Fei Ling, who had a slender figure and a strong scholarly air about her. She wore a set of black embroidered cheongsams that made her look even more refined.

Ye Feimo sat on the sofa waiting while Fei Ling led Wen Ran to select a cheongsam. Wen Ran took off her coat, and Fei Ling measured her bust-waist-hip measurements. She nodded approvingly, smiling and saying, "Miss Wen will look very good in a cheongsam."

Wen Ran had small bones but an elongated figure with ample bosom, tiny waist, and curvaceous hips. The most important feature was her long, fair legs. This type of build suited the cheongsam perfectly. Smiling faintly, Wen Ran glanced at Ye Feimo sitting on the sofa.

He had his arms crossed, eyes deep and introspective. Evening light filtered through lace curtains onto him, giving a sense of distant nostalgia in his gaze. Returning her smile, Wen Ran looked away.

If it's to be a cheongsam then...

Not many celebrities wore traditional Chinese attire like the cheongsam at award ceremonies nowadays. Stars vied with each other to wear Western high-end brands' evening gowns; this style of Chinese costume was quite rare.

Warm thought to herself that Ye Fei Mo's reason for choosing the cheongsam was definitely not because she looked good in it, but rather because the cheongsam was quite conservative and covered from top to bottom. However, most of them were designed with a split hem which would reveal a pair of fair and long legs.

Fei Ling picked out several for her, but Warm wasn't very fond of them, so she started browsing through the cheongsams in the section that combined traditional and western styles. There were many black sleeveless cheongsams on display there which Warm liked very much.

Fei Ling wanted to dress Warm up in a traditionally Chinese-style cheongsam, yet Warm preferred those over there.

Ye Fei Mo got up from his seat and slowly walked over to the rack. Warm had chosen a black cheongsam with an A-line skirt and intricate buttons; she also wore a black rose on her neck.

Fei Ling complimented Warm's taste, and she smiled, then went along with Fei Ling to change clothes.

"Are these the best cheongsams you have" Ye Fei Mo asked.

Fei Ling replied, "Mr. Ye, all the dresses we have are here."

"What about that set of cheongsam from Zhang Yu's Nostalgia series"

Fei Ling was surprised, "How did Mr. Ye know we have this set in our store"

"Get it for me to take a look," said Ye Fei Mo.

Fei Ling found herself at a loss, "Mr. Ye, that cheongsam is not for sale; Du's family has already reserved it. Please don't make things difficult for us."

"I said, take it out for me to have a look." Ye Feimo spoke each word deliberately. Fei Ling wiped her sweat; she could not afford to offend either side and was now in a dilemma. However, since the Miss Du had already ordered that set of cheongsam, they also dared not act on their own initiative.

"Mr. Ye…" Fei Ling was truly at a loss. After some thought, there was no other way out; she could only go to the fitting room to retrieve that set of cheongsam. When Ye Feimo informed them that he wanted to come over and try on the cheongsam, Fei Ling had specifically instructed someone to put away that set.

She didn't expect him to know about it.

Wenran came out wearing the evening gown. The hem of this dress was particularly distinctive; she looked like a mermaid in it. Those pleats swayed beautifully, and everyone in the store praised her appearance.

In front of the mirror, Wenran spun around happily. She had fallen for this dress at first sight, and putting it on felt even better than what she imagined, highlighting all her body's advantages.

Ye Feimo appeared in the mirror; one was wearing a cheongsam while the other wore a suit, looking quite complementary to each other.

Wenran teased, "I'm wearing a cheongsam. Do you want to wear a magua"

The two of them would complement each other perfectly if one was in a cheongsam and the other wore a magua; it would be typical of someone from a certain era.

Ye Feimo chuckled, looking gentle as he ran his slender fingers lightly over her shoulder where there was a butterfly pattern. Wenran was accustomed to his touch and felt a tiny surge of electricity run down her spine. Every time they made love, he seemed to be fond of the butterflies on her shoulders, always leaving countless kisses there that turned her cheeks rosy.

Even this light brush sent her thoughts wandering.
