"Who is the random passerby Alpha" Mo Yue asked him, his gaze calm. He had just woken up and looked very haggard; his injuries were severe, making his voice sound weak but not diminishing his authority in the slightest. Mo Xiaobai was struggling with himself, a fiery anger building inside that he couldn't vent anywhere, turning his face red from holding it in. Hearing Mo Yue ask this question made the fire rage even higher, shooting straight up as if fuelled by kerosene. Mo Xiaobai felt utterly miserable.

Mo Yue was hurting all over; both gunshot and collision injuries were severe. He didn't have the strength right now to argue with Mo Xiaobai about this. If he really wanted to talk about it, he would do so when his energy returned and he had thought things through properly, not at this moment. After the anesthesia wore off, every part of his body felt as if pierced by a knife, all his efforts going into fighting against pain with no extra strength left to resist Mo Xiaobai's antics. However, it was clear that Mo Xiaobai didn't see it that way; he glared at Mo Yue with fierce eyes and said, "The random passerby Alpha you saved."

Mo Yue closed his eyes momentarily to gather some energy and replied, "His name is Bai Liu."

"I don’t care if his name is White Willow or Black Willow; he’s still a random passerby," Mo Xiaobai sulked by the side, looking as though he was about to pound on the bed in protest. He seemed itchy and frustrated. Mo Yue didn't want to argue with this childish guy but repeated himself, "His name is Bai Liu."

Mo Xiaobai seethed with anger, and Mo Yue calmly replied with two words, "I’m hungry."

This response seemed to disperse Mo Xiaobai’s rage, his face turning red from holding it in. He suddenly jumped up and out of the room with a bowl.

As soon as he leaped up, the bed bounced slightly, causing Mo Yue to grimace. Mo Xiaobai, remembering something, straightened his head sharply and turned around with a pleading tone, "Boss..."

Mo Yue waved dismissively at him, maintaining an expression of detachment that suggested, 'Your Majesty, you may retire.' Mo Xiaobai was furious but left stomping heavily. The doctor who saw him leave in such a state found it amusing and commented to himself in German, "Patience is required when dealing with patients, especially those enduring pain; their temper usually flares up."

Flaring up

The boss's temper Heavens no, all the men under heaven are prone to outbursts except for his boss. Mo Xiaobai realized how unreliable this doctor was.

The German doctor said, "If you don’t believe me..."

Little master indeed didn't believe him.

Moxiaobai brought in a bowl of millet porridge and Mo Yue said, “Next time cook something else.”

"You don't like it" Mu Baixue looked at the yellow porridge sadly. "I spent a long time making it."

Muye's face darkened, "Rice porridge."

"There was no rice, so I used millet," said Mu Baixue, admitting that he had used what he could find on short notice. It wasn't bad nutrition-wise either. Muye’s face turned black again, "I don’t eat such sweet stuff."

"Next time I’ll cook it salty," Mu Baixue said in an attempt to placate him as he spooned another mouthful into his mouth. His thoughts had wandered and he ordered Yun to fetch some rice and lean meat. The boss really didn't seem to like this, but he found it quite tasty.

Mu Baixue fed Muye another mouthful; the latter still looked as if he couldn’t bring himself to swallow, so Mu Baixue pouted and muttered that it tasted pretty good. He then put the remaining half spoon into his own mouth with relish, causing Muye’s expression to change.

"Isn't it great" Mu Baixue pursed his lips, not bothered at all by them sharing a spoonful of porridge. Instead, he was worried that his boss didn’t like it. "I know you don't like sweet food, but I put in very little sugar."

Muye remained silent and stared at him with narrowed eyes. Mu Baixue felt anxious under the scrutiny and quickly begged for forgiveness, “Alright, alright, we won’t eat this tonight.”

"There’s a communication gap between us," Muye grumbled to himself; he and Baise seemed to be living in totally different worlds.

So both of them went ahead with their own thoughts as they spoon-fed each other another bowl of porridge. Muye didn’t have much appetite, so the bowls were small; after two servings, Mu Baixue stopped him from eating any more since he felt that his boss’s health should come first. With a troubled mind because of Baise's unintentional gesture, which stirred something inside him, yet knowing it was normal—when they trained in the jungle and had nothing to eat, they would share a rabbit; no one complained.

Normal, normal.

He wanted Baise to leave for a while. When this person was around, he always felt tired and tended to crave warmth that wasn’t his due. As hope arose from such thoughts, it got crushed by reality.

But Mu Baixue didn't seem willing to leave. Muye usually had no way to deal with him except for the time in Washington when he had lost control. Otherwise, he always yielded to Baise's wishes. Furthermore, craving something was a terrifying thing.

He wasn’t unhappy about having Baise around and attending to him.

To attack while his enemy is idle, with this thought in mind, Muye said, "I’m tired."

Moxiao Bai adjusted the bed to allow Moxiao Yao some rest. Once Moxiao Yao closed his eyes, he fell asleep due to his weakened condition from severe injuries. Originally, Moxiao Bai planned to move him somewhere else as the conditions in this private clinic were far from satisfactory. However... The German doctor was reliable when it came to confidentiality; recently, German police had been investigating all hospitals and clinics for any unfamiliar patients, especially those with gunshot wounds. This doctor managed to slip past unnoticed without compromising their situation. Since they were in Berlin and not entirely familiar with the surroundings, moving elsewhere could be risky; if something went wrong, they would still need a hospital, making it unwise to take chances.

Therefore, Moxiao Bai decided to make do with what he had.

When Moxiao Yao was asleep, Moxiao Bai called Yun and asked him to fetch some rice and lean meat along with medicinal supplements. Yun looked disheartened as the German doctor provided several dietary recommendations for recovery; however, Moxiao Bai dismissed them, stating that they were meant for Germans and not suitable for their different constitutions. This left the German doctor feeling thoroughly disrespected.

Moxiao Bai was someone who couldn't sit still. Yun had to stay with White Willow to monitor her while bringing supplies over; upon seeing Moxiao Bai's messy kitchen, he severely criticized him before leaving again. The private clinic’s kitchen was chaotic and unclean, which bothered Moxiao Bai immensely as a perfectionist. As such, when there wasn't much else to do, he would start cleaning up the kitchen. The German doctor thought Moxiao Bai was being overly troublesome, whereas Moxiao Bai believed that cleanliness was essential since his brother needed proper meals.

The German doctor found himself speechless: "Is this my home or yours Why aren't you more polite" Moxiao Bai and the doctor seemed to get along poorly but were oblivious to etiquette. During Moxiao Yao's intermittent sleeping, he could hear their immature arguments centered around the kitchen. Later on, the German doctor asked Moxiao Bai how to make porridge since his wife never felt like eating anything he prepared when sick. Learning a few tricks would be useful for him in the future, and so they began bickering again. Apart from times with patients, they mostly stayed in the kitchen; besides making porridge, Moxiao Bai also cooked bone broth to nourish.

The German doctor remarked that if one were to follow the principle of ‘like treats like’, then blood (from pigs and cows) and meat would be necessary. Upon hearing this, Moxiao Bai promptly shooed him away with a spatula.

Some people indeed hit it off immediately, developing an odd rapport where they expressed affection through rather demeaning behavior. The nurse smiled sweetly while commenting on their good relationship; both men responded with disdainful glances at each other. As the nurse giggled, Moxiao Bai felt a chill run down his spine.

"Who taught you such excellent cooking skills" asked the German doctor.

Moxiao Bai boasted arrogantly: "I am unparalleled in my abilities and can endure hardship while excelling at everything. A mere cooking skill is beneath me."

The German doctor scoffed but couldn't deny that Moxiao Bai’s cooking was indeed superb.

Even the smell of his food made him think that what he ate in Germany was akin to swill.

Leaning against the kitchen's small door, the German doctor asked: "Is the person lying inside really your brother"

"Of course. If we were to do a DNA test, there’s a high chance they’d share the same father," replied Moxiao Bai.

“They don’t look alike though,” commented the doctor.

"Who said it's not similar Five out of ten is good, right" Mo Xiaobai gave him a look. "You Germans can't understand the beauty of Eastern people or our aesthetic views."

The German doctor was silent; after all, his wife was an Oriental.

But he wouldn’t tell this to Mo Xiaobai because it would cost him many benefits.

"You seem quite nice to him," the German doctor said. "His wife doesn't treat him as well as you do."

Miaoxiaobai’s face darkened immediately. "My brother hasn’t gotten married yet."

Why did the word “wife” sound so annoying This person had such a heavy accent that Mo Xiaobai chopped a radish in half and continued cutting, causing the German doctor to pat his chest from the intense atmosphere.

The German doctor asked again. "You look so young, you should still be unmarried."

"Is it any of your business if I’m married or not Are you going to set me up with someone" Mo Xiaobai asked in a carefree manner. The German doctor was silent and then asked insistently, “So are you”

Miaoxiaobai waved her cleaver around and said, "No."

The German doctor nodded understandingly with an expression that seemed to say ‘it’s obvious’. However, Mo Xiaobai stopped all movements and added, “But I’ll be soon.”

The German doctor nearly choked on his breath. He stared at her in disbelief; she would have a wife soon Then who was the person he saw earlier This woman seemed to give herself completely to that person, judging by how lifeless and exhausted he looked over these few days.

Mo Xiaobai found this ghost-like stare unsettling. She swept up her cleaver in an exaggerated manner and said, "I’m at my prime and full of charm; what’s the big deal about having a wife Are you implying that I can’t find one"

"Hey brother, you seem to have some psychological issues."sing Lin Lin so much, thus creating such a dream. Telling others wouldn’t convince them otherwise since everyone could see he had been shot and declared dead with certainty; even if someone said he wa...
