Moyao felt that he might have been a bit too strict and had some guilt in his heart. However, this was an existing problem without any other way to address it. What Moyao said was the truth, leaving Xiaobai speechless. He wanted to tell Moyao that he wasn't impatient or lacking in sincerity; it was just that he was so afraid of losing Moyao that he always wished for a quick resolution.

He yearned so much to be by Moyao's side and didn't want to make Moyao angry. Even less did he want Moyao to think his love was merely a little bit.

"Brother, I'm sorry. Maybe I was too eager." Xiaobai said earnestly. Looking at Xiaobai’s expression, Moyao suddenly felt reluctant. Had he been too strict Xiaobai rarely showed such a pitiful look and rarely spoke to him with such seriousness. He couldn't help but recall the Xiaobai from that day in the bar who was so charming and sexy.

He preferred this version of Xiaobai.

"Don’t apologize to me, you haven’t done anything wrong."

Xiaobai left the room and returned to his own. Lying on the bed in his heart, he was depressed. It turned out that his brother with amnesia cared about their past. He had indeed been a bit of a rogue back then; this must be karma. Xiaobai bitterly smiled; if Moyao cared so much, he would have to show even more sincerity.

Mao Chen saw Sen Sen back to the hotel. Throughout the journey, he kept talking to Sen Sen, asking if he was going to school, where in France he lived, and which places he had visited for leisure. However, Sen Sen couldn't speak; he only communicated through gestures. Mao Chen understood very few of these gestures, so eventually, Sen Sen simply nodded or shook his head as a form of communication. They interacted like this for several minutes, and Mao Chen could tell that the child was quite aloof.

Sen Sen seemed emotionally detached.

This trait mirrored both himself and his father in some ways.

The boy looked rather drowsy, constantly fighting to stay awake. He appeared very tired. Eventually, he leaned back against the seat and gradually fell asleep, sleeping soundly as if dreaming peacefully. From this angle, Sen Sen's appearance was even more exquisite and admirable.

When they arrived at the hotel, Mao Chen carried Sen Sen into the elevator with a room key in his pocket. He took Sen Sen up to their floor and entered the suite without hesitation. Initially, he thought that Sen Sen’s mother should be here since such a young child would usually sleep together with his or her mother. But to his surprise, the large presidential suite was all theirs, and there wasn't even anyone guarding it. Mao Chen couldn’t help but wonder if Avril was truly careless for leaving such a small child alone in a big room like this without fear of him being scared at night

Moreover, he had just seen a psychologist today, so there would naturally be some irritability and resistance on his part.

Sometime later, Sen Sen woke up briefly, looked at Mao Chen, who was still holding him. Feeling reassured by the presence of this unfamiliar adult, Sen Sen even gave a slight smile. This small gesture softened Mao Chen’s heart; he wanted to hold and cherish the boy dearly, wishing he could stay here all night just for his sake.

Sensen woke up for only a short while and then closed his eyes to rest again. Mo Chen put him down, covered him with the quilt, and sat by the bed waiting until Sensen fell asleep. Half an hour later, Mo Chen left the hotel; right after he left, Avril came over to Sensen's room to check if he was sleeping well. Sensen curled up under the blanket in a sweet slumber, so Avril felt at ease and went back to her own room.

Avril and Sensen planned to stay in Rome for some time; they were not in any hurry to leave yet as Sensen had several appointments with psychotherapists. Fèimǎli was more anxious to return home because there was something happening back in the country, so she left first. Besides taking Sensen to see a psychologist, Avril also needed to attend several fashion shows in Milan; she was a famous clothing designer but kept herself low-key and never appeared in public. She was actually the chief designer of Pu'er International brand and had her own studio where she frequently held fashion exhibitions which won her fame all over Europe and America.

Since Sensen's appointments with psychotherapists were well-spaced, Avril wanted to go ahead and attend to business in Milan. She thought about taking Sensen along but he refused; he preferred staying in Rome. Avril was worried but decided to stay with him, forgoing her plan of attending the fashion shows. However, Sensen insisted that she should focus on work instead, and only a bodyguard needed to be left behind to protect him. After some deliberation, Avril felt reassured as Sensen was such an easy-going kid. Hence, she went ahead with her Milan trip.

Actually, she usually did not make public appearances at the fashion shows; they were all handled by her company. The designer was quite a mystery. This particular show in Milan was international and would compete with several high-end brands to earn rankings and market share. During the fashion exhibition, designers needed to introduce their design concepts etc., so Avril decided to attend even though she was in Rome as it wasn’t far from Milan.

If she had not attended, there wouldn't have been any major issues since her company already had a high reputation.

Avril left behind a bodyguard named John to stay with Sensen and take care of him. John was British and very gentlemanly as well as conscientious; he would be able to look after Sensen without any problems, but Sensen wanted to go to the Mo Family's place. He had an excellent memory and remembered the way there. After Avril left, he told John that he needed a few days of rest before going over to his friend’s house for playtime; John disagreed with this idea though. Sensen gave him his phone number and said he would call every day to check in. Nothing bad would happen.

John was still worried and asked who the friend was, but Sensen did not disclose any information. He put on a haughty expression like a young master and stared coldly at John; this made John feel chills run down his spine, so he had no choice but to agree.

He dropped Sen Sen off outside the Mo Family villa. Sen Sen wrote a few lines on the screen, repeatedly telling John that he was not allowed to mention it to Avril; otherwise, he would make him leave and never be able to accompany Avril again.

John could do nothing but agree.

This was Sen Sen's first time coming to the Mo Family castle. It had been three nights ago when the sky was particularly dark, making it hard for him to see anything clearly. After leaving the castle that night with mixed emotions, he hadn't paid much attention to his surroundings. Now looking at this castle again, he pursed his lips and thought how magnificent it looked, like something out of a fairy tale book Lin Lin often read—luxurious and charming, even more beautiful than his mommy’s castle.

Sen Sen slowly walked in; there were no security guards here. At the top of the small castle, there was a rotating camera, along with some other devices he didn’t understand. The Mo Family hadn't tried to contact him for these three days. Sen Sen couldn't help but wonder why they hadn't come looking for him

Did it mean that they didn’t like him
